As global digital transformation accelerates, fostering international collaboration on standardisation is critical to ensuring interoperability, security, and innovation.

This workshop between the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) of The Republic of Korea and the EU-funded initiative, INSTAR, will address the challenge of developing and implementing ICT standards in a landscape where the boundaries between advanced technologies are increasingly blurring.

In particular, the workshop will focus on standardisation within three distinct domain, namely Cloud-Edge-IoT, Cybersecurity and Data.

By aligning frameworks and exploring shared approaches to scalable solutions, the EU and Republic of Korea can strengthen their technological leadership in global markets and pave the way for sustainable and inclusive digital ecosystems.

Workshop goals:

  • Highlight common themes of interest in ICT standardisation, as already identified through the exchange of roadmaps between the INSTAR consortium and the TTA, and advance conversations in this context.

  • Host hands-on workshops on Cloud-Edge-IoT, Cybersecurity and Data to determine specific areas of alignment and start preparing joint roadmaps that will be executed by INSTAR and the TTA in the following months.
