This third EU-Japan expert workshop continues the ongoing dialogue on the alignment between the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and Japan’s JC-STAR.
Building on the outcomes of the previous workshops and the preliminary mapping activities conducted by Japanese and European experts, the session will focus on the comparison of security requirements, product scopes, and key areas for further technical analysis.
The workshop is part of the broader EU-Japan cooperation effort supported by INSTAR, Cyberstand.eu and StandICT.eu with the Japan Business Council of Europe (JBCE), Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA).
The session will gather technical experts from Japan and Europe to review current findings, identify remaining gaps and commonalities, and define priorities for the next phase of the joint work.
The EU-Japan mapping and alignment work is being carried out on the European side within a dedicated StandICT.eu Technical Working Group (TWG).
