09:00-10:30 CEST | 16:00-17:30 Korean Standard Time
The StandICT.eu Standards Training Academy in collaboration with INSTAR will host a webinar diving into Republic of Korea's standardisation strategies in ICT on 15 April 2024 from 9:00 to 10:30 CEST (17:00 – 18:30 Korea Standard Time).
Since decades, Republic of Korea has become a well-established and strong actor in international standardisation, particularly in ICT, which is impressively endorsed the patent applications of its well-known multinationals, but also their declared standard-essential patents.
This webinar intends to get an update of Republic of Korea ICT standardisation strategy and activities in general, followed by a closer look at its activities in ICT.
Based on this background, the first part will explore the opportunities and challenges faced by the Republic of Korea and its actors in international standardisation, also considering current geopolitical tensions.
The discussion will then focus on the implications for the EU, identifying opportunities for further collaboration, joint efforts for mutual benefit, and addressing global challenges.
