AIOTI together with the European Commission, DG Connect, IoT Unit and HSBooster project held on Wednesday 31st January a workshop on accelerating standardisation in the nexus of mobility, buildings, and energy.
The workshop explored fostering collaboration between different domains and relevant industry stakeholders, to collect concrete suggestions for the implementation of relevant EU-funded projects and to support the implementation of the upcoming Pilots on emerging Smart IoT Platforms and decentralized intelligence.
Various expert speakers led the audience through three sessions on policy aspects, standardisation and presentation of the solutions. Participants were also polled about which areas would they give priority to for the adoption of emerging norms and standards and to which ecosystem or which energy asset would they consider to have the largest orchestration potential of a multi-standard platform, among other interesting topics and questions addressed during the workshop.
During the event, Tanya Suarez (BluSpecs and INSTAR coordinator) introduced INSTAR by sharing an overview of the project with the audience and of its pivotal role in shaping international standards for emerging technologies (AI, Cybersecurity, Digital ID, Quantum, IoT, 5G, 6G and data) and its potential to drive significant advancements in smart IoT platforms and decentralized intelligence.
